BREAKING: Ukraine has struck the Yandex (Russian Google) data center in Vladimir, Russia. Ukrainian drones have now hit 3 Yandex data centers in 4 days and all the sites which host the company’s supercomputers: - October 8: Sasovo This site housed two of Yandex’s three AI supercomputers (named Lyapunov and Chervonenkis) used to train its YandexGPT model. - October 9: Kaluga This was Yandex’s largest data center. several modules were completely knocked out. - October 11: Vladimir region A massive explosion and fire rocked the facility.
Have the Kremlin bots disappeared? After strikes on Yandex data centers, automated traffic plummeted nearly 250-fold Social media users quickly noticed an interesting coincidence: as traffic dropped, pro-Kremlin bots also appeared to become less active. These accounts flood comment sections, stir up conflicts, and create the illusion of widespread public support. Czech MEP Tomáš Zdechovský couldn't resist taking a jab at Germany's far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party: “So much talk about German patriotism… and then the connection to Russia goes down.”

Αντιδράσεις στην Ευρώπη και στις ΗΠΑ
When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult. Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth. From a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum. (3/3)
